Student rooms from Brik
We let furnished rooms in Brussels for a period of 12 months.
What if you’re looking for a room for just a few months? You can rent from Brik in those circumstances too. Students who will be staying in Brussels for a maximum of one semester can turn to the Van Orley International Student House.
Our rooms are reserved for students enrolled at our partner institutions (VUB, EhB, Odisee, LUCA, KU Leuven Brussels campuses).
We offer different types of student rooms (‘kot’ in Dutch):

What does it cost?
Your monthly rent consists of:
- 🏠 Net rent (fixed amount per month)
- 🌐 Internet fee (fixed amount per month)
- 🔌 Advance payment for utilities (water, electricity and heating)
- 🧾 City tax (only for Brussels-City: €22 per month)
👉 The exact rent per room will be available from 25 April 2025 on mykot.be.
The final cost of utilities is calculated based on your actual consumption.
A deposit between €600 and €1,000 is required, depending on the type of room.

Technical problem? The Brik maintenance team is always ready to help. Email your name, room number and a description of the problem to Brik. We will help you out.
☎️ Emergency number outside office hours
We are always able to be contacted about technical emergencies—even after office hours, on the weekend and public holidays.
🧽 Cleaning crew
As the tenant, you’re responsible for cleaning your room and keeping communal areas neat and tidy. The Brik cleaning team provides a finishing touch twice a month.
🏡 Brik is your landlord
Our team will help you with questions and repairs. Contact Brik via email or telephone. Or just drop by our office. We will also see each other for the first time at the welcoming drink at the start of the academic year!
👥 House representatives
Every Brik student house chooses a house representative. This is the direct point of contact between tenants and Brik. They make sure everything runs smoothly in the student house. Together with your fellow students, you choose who is the most suitable person for the job.

To rent a student room at Brik, come to our Kottours through the different neighbourhoods in Brussels. From 3 May, we will show you around our available rooms for the 2025-2026 academic year and you will immediately sign a contract for your favourite room.
